Damien Harris from Perth in the Paul Shackleton Funny Car is up against Ashley Bailey, don’t you just love a Funny Car under full noise, Harris is going to rotate the earth and he is on a mission, Ash Bailey there are no times for him after the half track as he crossed the centre line.

Jamie Whincup up against Craig Lowndes – now this pair of competitors from the V8 Supercars Kingdom are running their full race cars.  Whincup, this is his first visit to Willowbank and during an on track interview he was saying he was absolutely blown away by drag racing, Lowndes who has been here before is totally enjoying his Winternationals Experience.  They certainly sound like V8 Supercars, they are on the limiters, as they leave the line, they stall it Whincup recovers first, Lowndes wouldn’t even qualify for the street bracket, but Whincup would just make it.

Damien Harris and Ash Bailey, showing why Nitro Funny Car should be returned to Andra as a Championship bracket, Bailey into his burnout routine first, Here comes Harris, both move into stage and this is a nice pass , especially Harris, look at this can they find another smidgen of power to break into  a four second pass, Bailey blew just about half track and it was a non event for him.

Whincup and Lowndes again, now look Whincup has decided for the big tyre smoking burnout, Lowndes just a short water burnout, Whincup is out, he is running a fantastic pass, but Lowndes stalls it off the start line and yet again wouldn’t make it into super street.  Whincup would now be in Super Sedan.

Ash Bailey and Damien Harris, our Funny Car Exhibitionists, these too look absolutely spectacular on the track, its not quite dark, but just about and the flames look amazing and oh my God, look at the thing of Harris it has run a four second pass and the team is going nutso on the start line, if he hadn’t of backed off early he would have laid down a three hundred mile an hour pass. Problems  from Bailey.

We have strong burnouts in both lanes from these V 8 Supercar competitors, Lowndes has opted for the opposite lane this time, and Whincup he wholeshots Lowndes both of these cars would now qualify for Super Sedan.

Phil Lamattina and Caleb Oberg, we have a Ford versus Dragster, the little dragster gets the wholeshot on the Ford and look at this Lamattina cannot recover, Oberg takes it through right to the finish line with the win.  Wonder what colour the face is of Phil Lamattina that he just got blown away by an 11 year old driving a motor mower engine, whilst he is driving the Twin Turbo Typhoon Ford sedan.
